À propos de l'événement
Have you every wondered if the plants you see in your front yard are useful as food or medicine? Do you have concerns about using them safely for yourself and your family?
Join Naomi for an educational and entertaining walk to help you get started and feel more confident!
Learn what plants are the best to teach to your children first, what time of year to pick the most medicinal parts of plants, where to look for certain plants, and fun stories like how Queen Ann's Lace got it's name, and how what we all grew up calling Indian Paintbrush, is actually not!
You'll leave this class with resources on getting started identifying plants and researching how to work with them, recipes for common plants, and the inspiration and encouragement to jump in!
There is so much to cover, so bring a camera, a notebook, and a pen, and consider coming back for another walk! Bring a friend and share the fun!
For ages 16 and up! Kids are free!
